2014-2017 The Peace & Conflict Studies Minor Requirements:

 

The minor is comprised of 4 components:

1.  THEME COURSES

Choose one of the themes below as your focus, and take three courses from that theme list.
Please see approved course list for course information.

 Conflict Resolution

 Social Justice

 Global Perspectives


2.  ENRICHMENT COURSES

Take two additional courses from anywhere on the approved list.  These may support your theme or represent other areas of interest.

3.  CAPSTONE COURSE (choose one)

PCS 3500 Introduction to Peace & Conflict Studies (offered Fall Semester)

COMM 5810 Peace & Conflict Studies Capstone

4.  INTEGRATIVE SEMINAR

        PCS 4800 - The Integrative Seminar (offered Spring Semester)

 

Total Credit Hours: 19

 

Students must earn a "C" or better in each approved course for this minor.  A maximum of 2 courses (6 credit hours) transferred from another institution may count toward the minor.

Students are permitted 3 courses from any one department to count toward the minor requirements.  This limit is to ensure students get the full benefit of the interdisciplinary nature of this program.
